Hola! I'm Caro Griffin 👋🏻
I'm obsessed with great drinks and the stories behind them.
I discovered a love of good spirits and great hospitality while spending a decade traveling to +30 countries. It taught me that there is no better place to learn about a place and its people than from inside a local bar.
My experiences in dive bars, fancy speakeasies, and everything in between taught me two things:
- Good drinks are better when you know the story behind them.
- And a little hospitality goes a long way!
I will forget specific drinks and bars with time, but I always remember the origin story of my (now favorite) Finnish whisky, the bartenders who wrote down their favorite ramen stands in Fukuoka, and the ones who taught me local slang over shots of tequila.
These are the stories I write about in my newsletter—hopefully turning you on to your new favorite drink, or a place you just need to visit someday.
