Agave spirits like tequila and mezcal are the most unique spirits in the world.

Sometimes grown for up to 20 years before harvest, these spirits allow you to taste the terroir of a place like no other drink. They also come with a fascinating history as old as Mexico itself.

But there are lots of bad mezcals out there! (And they usually just taste like a mouthful of smoke. 🤮)

Join me for an agave tasting where you’ll not only taste amazing spirits, but learn about the history of the drink and what makes it so special.

• Tastings of 4 different agave spirits from Mexico, including artisanal mezcal and tequila, plus some lesser-known agave spirits you may not have heard of 👀
• All the info you need to identify ethical and sustainable producers next time you're overwhelmed by options
• A crash course on how to navigate buzzwords and confusing labels to find bottles you'll enjoy in the future
• And a greater appreciation for these amazing spirits!

Your Host

Caro Griffin is an expat who accidentally moved to Mexico City five years ago and never looked back. Since then, she’s fallen in love with showcasing Mexican spirits in great cocktails and sharing them with others.

She's a Certified Mezcal Sommelier with the Institute of Agave Spirits, but considers herself an equal-opportunity sipper.
