You can learn a lot about a place from its drinks, and nowhere is that more true than in Japan.

This season, we're diving into sake, shochu, and, of course, whisky as we head off the beaten path to cities that should definitely make your next trip.

We'll spend four weeks traveling across the country to talk to brewers, distillers, and bartenders who can help us trace Japan's story through its world-famous drinks.

And by the time we're done, I think you'll agree - no one does "craft" like Japan.
